What is levelling up and how do it?

At MyPocketSkill we reward you for hard work and results. If you complete a few tasks well, we’ll move you up to the next level meaning you can charge more money for your time. If you stick with us and complete all the levels, you’ll soon be able to name your rate!

All young people start somewhere between Level 1 and 6 depending on the task, your age and your experience. As you build up your experience, you can work your way up through the levels and be rewarded with the ability to charge a higher rate. We call all of this Levelling Up.

What level do I start at? 

Your starting level is dependent on your age and experience and the rates differ according to the task type.  

Quick things to note:

• All our prices are in line with minimum wages you will always be levelled up to a level which is over minimum wage for each respective task type.
• Under 18? You will start at Level 1. Over 18? Then you’ll start at Level 2.
• Tutoring and a Uni Student? Great news, you can start at Level 4 - just update your profile with your University email address for this to kick in. (Note this can take up to 24 hours to process)
• Interested in babysitting? If you are DBS checked or have a First Aid qualification, you can start at Level 2 - just let the team know
• Once you’ve worked your way through the levels, you can name your own rate

How can I level up?With a little bit of hard work and positive feedback from your clients, you can easily move up through the levels and charge more.

Every time a customer re-books you, we will reward you by moving you up to the next level for new customers. Once you have completed all 6 Levels, you will be considered for our Top Rated level which allows you to name your own rate.

Got some loyal customers? Current customers will always be able to book you at the level they originally booked you at so that you can show them some loyalty.
